Commission on Economic Opportunity is Hiring an Assistant Center Manager Near Rensselaer, NY

  • Competitive Salary Offered**($26/HR for teaching certificate but no management experience. $27/hr for teaching certificate WITH management experience.)**

As a Assistant Center Manager, You Will;

  • Supervise, direct, and evaluate the performance of all UPK assigned staff.
  • Provide daily support, observations, and monitoring of classrooms associated with UPK collaboration.
  • Assist Center Manager with staff and building oversight in compliance with all agency and personnel policies/procedures and OCFS regulations 
  • Assist Center Manager to ensure the collection, review, accuracy, and submission of all required paperwork
  • Assist Center Manager in coordinating substitutes, volunteers, student teachers, interns, and service providers following agency and department policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications;

  • Minimum of 1-3 years prior teaching experience.
  • Bachelor’s in early childhood or related field required, as well as knowledge of OCFS Licensing regulations.
  • Experience in a leadership role with management-level responsibilities and prior experience in a Head Start Program.
  • NYS Early Childhood Teaching Certificate REQUIRED
